Korean Language Learning Fever! Spotlight on Innovative Development of Korean Teaching Materials – Over 100 Participants from Taiwan, Korea, and Vietnam Join International Academic Conference at Chinese Culture University

The Department of Korean Language and Literature at Chinese Culture University is the first Korean language department established in Taiwan. Renowned for its outstanding faculty and excellent teaching quality, the department has long been recognized for its achievements. In the 114th academic year university admissions, it once again achieved full enrollment, highlighting the continuing rise in interest in learning Korean.

To enhance innovation in teaching materials and expand international exchange—while also attracting more international students to Taiwan to learn the Korean language and culture—the department, in collaboration with the Center for Korean Studies, held the 13th “West Pacific Korean Studies International Academic Conference” on June 6 at the Da-Xin Building. This year’s theme focused on the “Development Directions of Korean Language and Korean Studies Teaching Materials.”

For the first time, the conference broke down the barriers between academia and practice, fostering cross-sector collaboration among academia, publishing, teaching, and cultural platforms, thus opening up a new chapter in the research and application of Korean language teaching materials.
