Course selection instructions

選課說明

  1. 「外文閱讀與聽講」選課
  1. 「外文閱讀與聽講」課程為大一、大二必修學年課程,新生於入學之第一學期已預先安排「外文:英文與閱讀()」,毋須上網選課。(經排定的課程請勿擅自退選,同學無法加選其他班別。)

(2) 英、日語實習抵免:參加過外語檢定考試(如多益、日檢等外語測驗),請攜帶成績單正本、影本2份及「外文領域免修申請單」,至所屬系組學位學程辦理。

外語實習抵免標準請參閱本校「學生抵免學分辦法」第四條第九款。

  1. 「體育」課程選課

(1)「體育()(課程代碼:PPE1)及「體育()(課程代碼:PPE2)為一年級必修課程,「體育()(PPE1)為上學期課程、「體育()(PPE2)為下學期課程,請大一新生依規定選課時間進入選課系統選課。

  1. 「人文通識」、「社會通識」及「自然通識」選課

(1) 通識課程均需自行選課,請依規定時間進入系統選課。

(2) 通識課程,每學期可修習二門。

  1. 選課與學分修業規定:
  • 修讀學士學位學生每學期修習學分數如下(依據選課辦法第三條)
  1. 修業年限內每學期最高不得多於25學分。
  2. 日間學士班一至三年級,每學期不得少於10學分,四、五年級不得少於9學分。
  • 選課注意事項:
  1. 每學期應修本系所組學位學程科目學分數依各系所組學位學程之規定。
  2. 選修他系所組學位學程、院、校之學分數,須經本系所組學位學程之認可始得列入畢業學分數。
  3. 凡有先後修習順序之課程,應依序修習;重修者得以併修。
  4. 全學年必選修課程,為課程連貫性,上下學期均需修習,如僅修習一學期或任何一學期不及格,其已修及格之學期學分數,不得列入畢業學分數計算。

Course Selection for New International Students

A. Selection of Courses in the "Foreign Language Categories: English Program and Conversation Laboratory.”

(1) All students who take English courses will be assigned to classes in advance. Students cannot select their English classes. (Please do not drop the scheduled courses without authorization. You are unable to add other courses if you do.)

(2) Exemption from English and Japanese conversation laboratory classes: Students who have taken foreign language proficiency tests (such as TOEIC, JLPT, etc.) shall submit 2 originals and photocopies of the transcripts to their departments to apply for class exemption.

B. Physical Education courses selection

Physical Education (Course Code: 0099) is a compulsory subject for all freshmen students. The first-year students are required to select the course by themselves during the scheduled course selection period. Freshmen enrolling in the spring semester must wait until the second semester to take physical education courses.

Important:

Physical Education courses are year-long courses, lasting from the fall to the spring semesters chronologically. If you do not take the PE in fall semester, you cannot take the course in the following spring semester. Therefore, it is important to select the course during the scheduled course selection period.

C. Selection of General Courses: “Cultural Literacy”, “Artistic Literacy” and “Civic Literacy”

  1. Please enter the class selection system to select these courses during the scheduled course selection period.
  2. Students may take up to two general courses per semester.
  3. The number of credits for general courses students should take for their majors is as follows:

D. Regulations Regarding Course Selection and Credit Completion

1. The maximum number of credit hours allowed per semester for each student shall be as follows: (according to Article 3 of the Regulations of Course Selection):

(1) The maximum number of credits per semester is 25.

(2) The minimum number of credits for freshmen, sophomore and junior students is 10. Students studying in their fourth or fifth year may take no less than 9 credits. Students who delay graduation must at least take one credit per semester.

2. Important:

(1) Students shall take required credits according to the requirements of the departments or programs they are studying in.

(2) Credits earned by students that are offered by other departments, colleges, or credit programs must be approved as required credits for graduation by the student’s departments.

(3) Courses with prerequisites must be taken as required. This rule does not apply to students who fail the prerequisites and wish to retake the courses.  

(4) Required & elective courses that last a whole academic year must be taken in both fall and spring semesters and in such order. Students need to obtain credits for both semesters to meet the requirement for credit completion.
