Lost and Found Item Handling
1. If you lose an item on campus, please go to the Life Guidance Office on the 2nd floor of Daen Hall to fill out the Lost Item Registration Book. Provide a detailed description of the lost item and your contact information. If the item is found, the owner will be contacted to retrieve it.
2. If you find an item on campus, please submit it to the Life Guidance Office on the 2nd floor of Daen Hall. The details of the finder and the found item will be recorded on-site.

Lost and Found Item Handling Procedure
1. Lost Item Procedure: Individuals who have lost items must go to the Life Counseling Office to fill out a Lost Item Registration Form, providing detailed descriptions of the lost item and their contact information.
2. Found Item Procedure:
I. After a found item is submitted to the Life Counseling Office, the relevant information about the finder and the found item will be recorded on-site.
II. The lost item and found item details will be compared, and the following actions will be taken:
(1) If the found item is identifiable and its owner can be determined, the office will notify the owner to claim the item. The owner must provide identification to claim and sign for the item. (2) If the found item is unidentifiable, the office will place the item in the Lost and Found Cabinet for public retrieval and post a notice online. After two months, if unclaimed, the item will be registered and forwarded to the local police for public notification. After the notice period, the office will handle the item according to legal procedures. If the finder has made a note to retrieve the item, the finder must sign to receive it. If the finder wishes to donate the item, the office will periodically hold auctions of donated items. The proceeds from these auctions will be donated to the university's emergency relief fund, in accordance with the university’s Lost and Found Policy.
(3). Finder’s Reward: The office will reward finders based on the value of the found item each semester, as per the university’s policies.
